Hi

I have tried for severel days to get the recording funktion to work. The clocks on the PC and IROX shows the same time and i have pressed the "reset record pointer" Finally I yesterday even tried to clear the memory as read in the help meny but it didn´t help. It gave me on the other hand even bigger problem couse now the -"weather data read out" function dont work either!

Please help me!

Well the "weather data read out" window comes up and disappear after just a few seconds and nothing else happends.

Please send me the contents of the Data Logger:

If recording is running, stop it,
goto Weather station, Adjustments.
Here click in the field Weatherstation the Name of your Station
- normally "TE923 (Mebus,Irox,Honeywell),
you should now see a new TAB "EEPROM.Bin"
Goto EEPROM.Bin und here press the button "Read EEPROM"
The contents should now be read from the station und stored in
file "EEPROM_yyyymmdd.bin"
where yyyy = year, mm = month, dd = day.
... but this is only available in the registered version.

Or you use WeatherView/WeatherCapture, here you get the EEPROM-file "EEPROM.bin" direct.

Hi!

I guess i´m a little to much newbie for software like this. I didn´t understand how to get the TAB so I came in a very desperately mood and uninstalled the software and reinstalled and thought everything would work again. However the problem is the same and the wheather data is now forever lost...........

sorry, when I interfere here, but you write:
- that you have never been able to get data from the logger
- that you deinstalled and reinstalled the software
Why do you think that you have lost data? You have never got data and what you haven't got, you can't loose
And now, when you reinstall the software, the data is still in the logger.
Where is the problem?
And then do this, what Werner has suggested:
"weatherstation - Adjustments" and then there opens a window where you can see different Tabs and the last Tab is the Tab EEPROM
And there do that , what Werner has suggested.,

Dont be sorry! I´m thankful for all the help I can get. As I wrote I think I´m a little to much newbie for this but i will once again try to explain what has happened.
I bought my Irox in the beginning of october and installed WSwin at the same time. Ever since then the function "weather data read out" has worked without problem i.e the function to transfer stored data from the Irox to the software. Therefore I had weatherdata ever since october. However, the recording function as I understand is the function to continuously transfer data from the weatherstation to the software has as far as i know never worked. As I wrote the window appears and after just a few seconds it disappears again and the recording never starts.
In my eagerness to get the recordingfunction to work i followed the instructions:
"Reset Record Pointer

If you initialize the weather-station again, it can be necessary to correct the program-internal data record-pointer.- only possible, if recording not started.

Clear the memory at main unit with the following procedures:

ü Press & hold [SNOOZE] and then [UP] for 4sec.

ü Backlight is flashing.

ü Press [SET] to start erase.

ü "BEEP"<1sec>,"BEEP"<1sec>,...... until the end.

ü Go back as usual.

ü Uninstall the batteries/power supply

ü Wait 10 seconds, Re-install the batteries

Clear memory procedure finished."

After this action i cant even get the "weather data read out" -function to work. I didn´t understand Werner so I therefore uninstalled the software and thought that I sacraficed the weatherdata since october but on the other hand at least the "weather data read out" funtion would work again. The rest is history! I hope I have been a little bit more clear now.

If the weatherdata is still there I´m glad but I can´t at least not see any diagram!

I understand that I´m missing the picture about "weatherstation - adjustments" window. I cant find anything about EEPROM and I´m not sure what a TAB is!

A big thanks in advance for taking your time to explain this for me. I have tried both Weathercapture and Weatherdisplay and i think that WSwin is by far the most userfriendly software and therefore fits me like the hand in the glove and it would have been great to get it to work on my computer!

Hello Magnus,
now I understand your problem.
Is it possible, that you have got only the trial version of WSWIN?
There it is not possible to read out the data continuously. For this reason you have to by the full version.
To show you what a TAB is, have a look at the picture, where you can see the "TAB" --> "EEPROM"
(it's of a Vantage, but it must be similar to your station)

OK a TAB was as simple as that! I didn´t understand because I don´t have a TAB like that. I only have 3 TABs: Parameters, Console and Alarm.

Nevertheless, I have the full version of the software hence something else must be the problem!

- don't use the current version V2.93.17
- didn't stop recording
- click the correct label

If you have installed WeatherCapture (WeatherView) - they also make
the EEPROM.bin file.

I have found the problem. For some reason the weatherstations memory wasn´t cleared. I did the prodecure again twice and then removed the batteries for at least 10 minutes. After that everything worked. I found out that the memory wasn´t empty by looking at the meny: Weather station/status of wireless interface and the TAB Values. "Next record" should be 1 but was at least 2500!
