Temp difference solar => W/m2 data?

Beitrag von skyewright »

Hello,

My first post here. :D Sorry it has to be in English.

I think I have set up a 'Temperature Difference' solar sensor, using Temperature 4 (sensor 5).

I have not yet made any use of the "Make sun position correction", but the brightness percentage looks fine (and corresponds to the same data being read by Weather Display) and "Sunshine Time" is working as I'd expect.

What I'm not seeing is calculated equivalent W/m2 data. A W/m2 figure is shown in the Special sensors => solar window, but nothing seems to be recorded as Solar radiation data for the graphs.

Is there perhaps something else I need to set, or do I need to look in a different place, or are W/m2 (and ET?) figures not available for 'Temperature Difference' type solar sensors?

@David,

WsWin accepts only for the the brightness sensor (ELV WS2500 station)
the transfer calculation to the solar radiation values (W/m²).

For the man-made sensors like difference sensor or modified temp sensor
there is no secured formula.
So calculated radiation values can be right, but mostly not.

I don't like to show such values.

Okay, I can appreciate that. :)
I'm no fan of quoting data to more precision that is reasonable.

It is however nice to be able to see the general pattern for the difference, so is it possible to plot that, either as a simple temperature difference or as a percentage of the defined range?

I already tried looking at the equivalent humidity (i.e. sensor 21) in case that was being used for the purpose but it is 0% through out, and at the 'combined sensors' options but 'difference' didn't seem to be available there.
