Items in display bar do not show correctly...

One more question.

In the space intended for 'additional sensors' in the display bar (the righthand half of it) I have entered 'wind gusts' to be indicated.
But I cannot make the program to show the full description 'wind gusts' together with its value, e.g. 'wind gust 3.5 knots'; only 'GU 3.5knots' is shown. When starting WsWin, just after connecting to the USB datalogger and downloading the data present there, the full line 'wind gusts 3.5 knots' shows for less than a second, but immediately it is repalaced by the short text.

BTW: In the sensor selection the item 'just short description (T1,H1) is NOT checked! If I do check this, I can enter more sensors (nore room?) but nothing is changed in the descriptions in the actual view in the display bar.

I have not been able to find a posting on this subject; hopefully someone know what I am talking about and recognizes the problem

My weather station is a VP2 (Envoy).

@Franklin,

in recording mode the Display bar shows the Realtime values (as received from the station) and switches always to Short names (like GU for Gust)

If you stop the recording, the program goes back to normal display (Short or Long names).

I would never have guessed this without your explanation!

I have been a forecaster with the KNMI at De Bilt for many years until my retirement.
When a new piece of software was released into our weather room it didn't always respond the way we expected it to. We always asked "Is this a bug or a feature?"...

Your program has so many features, that occassionally one might think to have come across a bug too - mistakingly of course!
