Hi

I have recently had to re-format my small itx weather computer as it had been attacked by a nasty hacker.

Before the format I managed to get a copy of the wswin folder from within Windows/Program Files

I have just copied that over to the new Windows install and hoped it would work (I have lost the link that Werner sent me when I bought the software a year ago)

It seems to work except I get 'Cannot find Template_d.txt' every few minutes and an annoying beep fom the computer

Anyone any ideas please

Hello Paul,
two things to do:
- be sure, that there is no write-protection on your files, especially ion wswin.cfg and the data files like ws_01_06.dat (but I think, this is not the real problem)
- wswin cannot find the template "template_d.txt", which must be in c:\programme\wswin
You can get it from
http://www.pc-wetterstation.de/user
but you need your password and so on
If you write a letter to W.Krenn, you will get it once more, if you have bought the programm
And in the meantime (until you get the file), you can go to "Control - Parameters Template/APRS/Synop" and there remove the hook at "work off day template"

In the meantime I will disable the access as you suggest
