feature request - alarms

I would find it useful to have alarms for program events in addition to weather events. Examples would be 1) not receiving data from station, 2) ftp failure, etc.

The reason this occured to me is that I am using WSWin connected live to a vantage pro. However, I still want to let Davis WeatherLink download the data from the datalogger twice a day. I use WsWin's pause feature for this, but sometimes after pausing, it does not regain access to the com port. If I could have an email or a speech alarm fire when this happens, it would be helpful, since I'm feeding my data to WDLive.

there is a option for sound or speach alarm - look under File, Options.

But I never checked this, wether this works with the VantagPro.
